This is a kit made by NCF motors as Dr Evil states..

I have in the past owned the small NCF blitz mini based buggy and can certainly vouch for the strength of the roll cage...

This kit is called the Sahara, and it takes the classic Blitz lines and turns it into a Defender look alike...the Chassis, dashboard and full running gear stays Discovery though i believe

Me proper Fender don't look anything like that!! :violent:

Can easily have been the original engine as only earliest Disco 1 V8s were carbs and got hotwire 3.5 from the start.

I quite like it, would consider it myself too :)

I can vouch for the selling off of just finished projects too as BTDT with regard to running out of money, never enough time and certainly it can kill your enthusiasm working on a truck in the winter, if it still has work to be done there can be genuine reasons for it too.

It can easily be IVA'd and the kits are actually built up with this in mind but if you do buy it take into consideration the test fees and the finishing work and assume you may have to go back over some stuff and do it again which can lead to frustrations but otherwise it will be a great truck to own and run, not too dissimilar to owning and driving a Tomcat or an Ibex as a daily or even just a fun truck.

I agree with dieseldog69 think it would be a great car, I have seen them at Landy shows and would like one myself. go for it!

Just spotted something I hadn't seen before, it is described as a defender pick up on the log book, which it is not if it is basically on points a Discovery, I would very much be inclined to get the IVA manuals and finish it off and then get it IVA'd and see where the ground lays for registration as the Disco with a different body or getting a Q.

Fecked if I know what the problem is with people getting all notted up over a Q, look at it the other way personally, Q = pride, it actually makes a statement that you have what it takes to take a car from a collection of parts and make it road worthy and personalized, everyone else seems to think it = dodgy, fail!!!

Best of luck what ever you decide.

I know I would if I didn't already have a project but would give nothing over 2K for it, bear in mind it is not complete and requires more work and investment to make it road legal/worthy.
