Thats Bollocks

At the weekend I had full service done on my l322 2006 diesel vogue.
Today driving to work I thought I would check if it made a difference to my mpg.
So I zeroed my mpg meter and set of for Selby from North Sheffield.
At rip of around 46 miles.
I drove nice and steady and watched as I managed to top out at 40.1 as I entered Selby.:D

Awesome or what?

You seriously believe what the screen is telling you?? Lol

Do a brim to brim then work it out

The screen on my P38 is accurate to a tenth of an mpg since I removed the power box unless you reset the trip 2 on a part tank. Re-set on full and it's reliable:)

Your name sums up my reply.

Lol
Are ya jealous?

No seriously I average 30 mpg normally. That's 2 years of driving the thing with various degrees of thrashing or driving miss daisy.
But today I wanted to find out what she would do on a decent flat run after a service.

:)
I'm happy.

If you can get 40 mpg out of your range rover then you would be a very rich man indeed

:DI'm laughing because I now realise my car has a great engine!
Obviously your old rot boxes are gas guzzling LPG eating oils drinking V8s.:)

Do I have to video my journey with my iPhone pointed at my fuel computer? To prove that I can get 40 mpg on a run?:praise::praise:lol

Dems da :rulez: :D:D:D

Mines not a gas guzzling v8 either

Same as your td6 doozle tractor

I think those MPG figures your posting are when the car is being towed by the AA ?
Lol

I am getting at the very best 21 mpg for town driving and 24 mpg for a run. The vehicle was serviced which is a Range Rover Vogue 3.6 TD1 2007, just 2000 miles ago. What am I doing wrong (i am a fairly steady driver no harsh accelerating etc). :(

Isn't yours the V8 motor? I think the OP has the Td6.

the best I've ever had is 30.1 on the display after doing a 100miles at about 60 mph then got bored and pushed it to 80 and rest of the trip dropped it back to the usual 25.
