Hi

Just got my white 4.0 se yesterday and with lack of a manual wondered if you guys might explain a few things.

I'm assuming my cruise just doesn't work, but what's the procedure to set etc incase im doing it wrong

The air suspension works, but won't always go to motorway setting when I tell it to, is there a certain way to use it and set it were you want it, also can you drive the rr at its lowest setting?

Also, how do I find the paint code for the se, was there only the one shade of white, and any idea were to get touch up pens etc

Thanks in advance

Kev

Sorry for the list of questions, just want to start getting things as they are supposed to be

Press inhibit switch select motorway. It should drop and stay there until inhibit is deselected. No you cannot drive in lowest setting unless you select creep mode. And only then upto a certain speed. Drop to access height and press inhibit switch. You should get "EAS MANUAL" on dash. That is creep mode.

for the cruise control, there's a button next to the hazard lights. Press the button, get above 40mph and press the bottom left button on the steering wheel.

Cruise should work above 25 mph. At least it does on the diesel.

Sorry to be a total pleb, but is the inhibit the button to the right of the height select lights?

Should I get a light on the cruise button next hazards when pressed? What sites the right button on steering wheel do?

Cheers folks

Yes you should. R/H button on steering wheel marked RES. Is for cruise on petrol models only. Does nothing if you have a diesel.

Cheers guys, the cruise does work :D

Buttons must be worn as nothing written on them, no light on dash button though, or many other lights clock/climate control, should it be backlit?

EAS not going to full height is likely to be leaking airsprings, they have a design life of 7/8 years 80K miles. If they are leaking the compressor may also need a rebuild.

what year and model is it ? give all details so others can help ... paint code ? lift bonnett up look for black plate on left hand side of top cross bar above radiator i.e. front panel where grill fits to . it will show a letter in brackets i.e.
= (A) check on rave or ring main dealer spares dept they will tell you the name of the color also whilst your at it give them vin no and ask for 4 digit eka code and 4 digit radio code (( for future reference ));)

cheers for now MOZZ

For what it's worth, I'd leave the EAS on auto and let it sort ride height out if it's working ok, it should drop to motorway after a short while above 60 ish mph.

Or 50-52mph usually....

60mph is the L322 and sport I believe.
