Evening all, I have recently purchased a second hand standard galvanised roof rack for my 90, but it only came with x2 mounts. The previous owner had lost them while in storage. I do not have the tools to make the mounts and have spoken to a few fabricators around my local area for a quote to have x8 made, all quotes have been £100+

Is anyone able to make these for me? I will obviously pay for the materials and your time,

Looking for these, with 8m threaded bolt. If you think you can help, please get in touch, I'm located in Taunton, Somerset.

cheers,
Danny

hi danny, i would need a full set of measurement off you but i could knock those up for you for less than half that price quoted :cool:

Hi every one, iv been trying to get these made too. I'm in the same situation but I only need two. I'm in swindon in Wiltshire and can't find a maker here either. Lets hope we can get these made between us.

I would have thought that if you source the bolts and call round to just about any welding/fabrication place the apprentice will knock you some together in his dinner hour in exchange for beer money;);););)
Obviously they wouldn't be galvanised though.

They are only M8 bolts with heads cut off and tacked to a bit of angle .

Go to wickes or so and buy a short length of 1/2" angle or equivalent , get half a dozen M8 bolts x 60mm (at a guess0 saw heads of and nip into a metal fab place and get em stuck together , less an £ 20 cash ;)

8 small pieces of angle is about £10 - £15 then £5 for the bolts then its just a case of marking the centre point with a square so you know where they sit and welding them up
