I changed the dash perspex and, daft enough, unplugged the plugs to the instruments to make access easier. Now the mileage is flashing and although I can live with it, annoys the Boss. Does anyone know if Lynx Diagnostics will rectify this & how to do it? I got into BCU, but found the 'odometer cancel' to turn off all the lamps. If this has been covered before, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks for your help.

Not sure about Lynx, how common is the dialogue between the nanocom and Lynx platforms?

But flashing odometer normally means the odometer and the BCU are seeing different distances.

They can be synced with a nanocom, but will only go to the higher mileage. , but also the alarm causing the flashing can be turned off. This will stop the flashing at least. iirc, this is the "odometer error warning".

Cheers

Unplugging the instruments shouldn't affect anything, the mileage is stored in flash memory.

I've had my dash completely stripped out and nothing needed to be reset afterwards.

Thanks for your interest, it is the original speedo and dash so I'm not worried about any variations in distance. I'm thinking that leaving the battery off for a while, then connecting to see if that helps. I'll try and get Lynx to talk to the BCU. If there's any luck and success, I'll put it on here.
