:D a noob that listens
sorry i cant help mate (deepender man through and through) but sure 1 of the rangey boys will be along soon ;)

For sure. Stick it in reverse with the ignition on 2, engine off, press and hold the memory button and either 1 or 2 depending on which you use. Should get a message on the dash.

Am I being a bit thick here, I only have a 4 way adjuster button and a sliding switch to select the mirror, or are you talking about the memory button on the seat?

Just stick it in reverse and manually adjust the mirrors to the normal setting. I think the feature can be turned off in the BECM.

Thanks for the advise, it sounds like a good place to start by any means. I hope it is as simple as that, i had a horrible thought it might involve chopping wires....
What is BECM by the way, is that the in dash warning message jobbie?

Don't worry about it for now but you'll soon come to play with it :D
It's a big fook off magic box under drivers seat

Hi, iv just tried the seat button method, unfortunately this has not solved the issue, I didnt get a message on the dash either. I should have probably said previously my mirrors are going up when in reverse rather than down as apparently they should.
Any further suggestions anybody?

Gents thanks for all your help and advise, I have resolved my issue. It seems you have to press and hold the seat memory button and not one of the presets to remove the dipping option. All sorted.

V8rly - thanks for coming back to tie up the thread - and for exposing the apparently multiple hiding places of the BECM! :welcome2:

Funnily my pass mirror tilts up when in reverse instead of down  Wonder would the button sort that

Start off with your normal position for the mirror, ign on and in reverse, adjust mirror to where you want it when reversing, press memory seat and either button 1 or 2.
To disable the function, ign on and in reverse, press and hold memory seat for 2 seconds - should then be a message in the dash saying 'mirror dip off'.
To re-enable - same again.

Damn!

I thought it was and then I looked at that stupid web page, saw the first picture and jumped to the wrong conclusion.

As Homer Simpson would say..."Always trust your gut!"

Worked a treat. Both mirrors pointing were I want them now. Thank you.:clap2:

yes the BECM is under drivers seat, it has fuses located on its side, iv just had to replace mine for £465. it controls any and everything electrical and loves to decide when it wants to stop you using the range rover. it spends alot of its time talking to the ecu and when its not doing that its busy having your pants down! lol
