hi there 2 quick questions

firstly I fitted a new set of clock's into my p38, they have lower milage (which I didn't know when I got then) the display on start up and key out just says odometer mismatch (or similar) old clocks said 130k ish new ones 78k ish, is there a way with out testbook / rovacom to get the becm and the clocks to sync together ?

secondly I have an srs light (when the bulbs are fitted to the clocks) hooked up the snapon reader but it couldn't read the airbag system, is there a way to read / reset it ?

depends where you are there are a few guy in liverpool that can do it for you without to much cost, if you need any numbers just ask ..

The SRS light is probably due to you disturbing something when you replaced the clocks, it should clear automatically when you find the fault. I thought the clocks should syncronise automatically to the higher figure eventually.

Yes Data it should. There is a trick though of removing memory chip from clocks which zeros BECM. Then replacing chip and BECM goes to lower mileage. Although i don't know anything about that. Honest.

well a few days on, still got the SRS light (well would have if the light bulbs were fitted) just say's airbag fault but upto now not had the code read did look for a pink connector that someone had suggested, the milage is still reading the lower reading (that off the clocks not the BECM) and saying odometer error

srs fault not linked to the clock's as I've changed to routery coupler (when I put a new steering wheel on)

Anything in yellow trunking is SRS airbag related it might just be the connector just below the rev counter, had bit of trouble with my airbag light on turned out to be bit of a bad connection on fuse 29 ( I think ) in under bonnet fuse box .

There may be your problem, did you fit it correctly? It has to be centred with wheels straight ahead or as you turn steering wheel you snap the ribbon.

fitted the routery coupler correctly as far as i know, turned steering full lock both ways and still have a horn (i can only asume the horn is on the coupler?) still have the old one which is locked to the correct setting
