:eek::rolleyes: :D:D What was a mid morning job has been going on for 2 bloody weeks now! Got to strip the R/H hub down again as I put the seal on wrong :( luckily nothing is torqued up yet though so shouldnt take too long.

If only! If i'd taken it to a garage id be in for a shocking bill and I expect wouldnt have replaced the parts I changed!
 
Great maybe as a last resort if the tube nut is never going to be used again or you are interested in crimping it onto the pipe.
I did say if the other spanners don't work. And to be fair if you are careful in their use you can use them to not obliterate half of the western world...

A little bit like that - but not quite hammer time either.

They are good in the situation that there's a bit too much corrosion and you need something to grip there firmly so you don't round it all off. They have saved my bacon a few times now.

If you have corrosion on a tube nut that prevents it from being undone with a proper tool you change it simples. ;);)
