My diagnostic computer is unable to communicate with any of the modules on the can bus.(Engine, gearbox etc) I am unable to do a basic diagnostic test, but I can connect to the instrument pack. I get the following faults-
Transmission Interface bus fault
CAN bus fault - No EGS1 received from auto gearbox ECU
No ASC4 received from ABS ECU
CAN bus fault- No DMER1 received from EMS ECU
This is really bugging me now. My rangerover hasn't started in a month after an intermittent cutting out problem. Tested everything I can think of, fuel is there. Changed crank and cam sensors. Stumped without diagnostics.

If what you have isn't doing the business, should you look at better diagnostic kit?
You have not said what you are using. What is it?

Does yours still have the Headlamp leveling ECU fitted?

This is a common cause of Canbus faults....disconnect and see if you can read the CAN.....

I'm unable to locate this anywhere, so I'm assuming it doesn't have one. I've checked driver and passenger footwells

Front passenger footwell side panel, you might find the plug for it even if it doesnt have it fitted.

Looked everywhere, can’t find it at all

If was there it would be behind the lower side panel not the dash end panel, have a good look round in that area see if plug for it is there, if no plug pretty safe to say its not fitted. @Saint.V8 might be able to confirm this.

Do you mean to the right or left of the footwell in the photo?
