Can anyone tell me the name or part number of the really horrible rusty thing sitting above my shiny new window regulator?

I wanna make sure I get the right thing!

Don't know the part number but its the bit that goes on the bottom of yer window for the regulator to push against rather than crack the glass

the window channel on the diagram doesn't look like mine at all so I'm a bit confused! Thanks for the link though. Much appreciated all the same

Cant see the bit at the bottom of the window on there?

I'm not sure what you mean.

I can see the part that's labelled as '4' on the diagram, but it looks nothing like the part I'm after.

Yours is the MTC8477 Channel up to LA*** (not shown on the drawing)
The illustration shows the clip fitted to later vehicles

Parts books are invaluable, but if you're not used to them they can be confusing, not forgetting that sometimes they're wrong!
