the only thing i can see not letting it work is the difference in wheelbases, the sIII swb has an 88", whereas the 90 has a 92.something wheelbase and therefore the wheel arch wouldnt line up and the rear tub would be too long

the 90 screen/roof join is different to the sIII so they wont go together. and u wouldnt be able to put the 90 roof on because it will be too long.

Dunno about the lengths and the tub but it's common to defenderize the front end of a series Yella did his. The front end from a Defender will fit an Ive got a 90 but want the flappy handled doors rather than the push button handles and the slidey winders and removeable door tops but doubt if yours'll be that type.

the front wings and grill should fit with out any major problems and i think you could put a one piece screen in insted of the two piece SIII one

piece o ****, i done mine last year, ignore these ****s, its down to personal opinion, if you wanna do it just do it. leave the ser 3 wings and just fit a defender front panel and bonnet, the screen is easy enough but the roof is a bastard unless you have a truckcab.if you want a hard top you need to graft the front of a defender roof onto the rear of the series roof, the doors just swap over, but you need the striker plates off a defender as the catches are different on push button doors, hope this helps
