Happy New Year to everyone!
Can anyone tell me why some 2003 Defenders have a grill that it slightly raised forward? I’ve looked at a few now and am stumped as I thought it would be something to do with air/con however I have seen one with the same grill that sits in front of the light panels yet it didn’t have air/con? Could anyone be kind enough to explain as I am new to the Land Rover scene.
Best Regards
Jason.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's an alternative grill that gives you a little bit of extra space for an intercooler if you decide to have one fitted. Where abouts you can buy these "sticky-outy" grills from and whether or not they are a standard land rover part I don't really know!

Happy new year to you too

Not sure but could be TD5 engined vehicles so grill would need to be further foward for longer engine. ( just a guess. )

Hi - It is to make room for the AC condenser. I have two defenders v8 1997 90 and 2005 Td5 110 both with AC and both with sticky out grill.

Have not seen a defender without AC with sticky out grille. Standard landy with AC as far as I know.

Yea its the air con. TDi, Td5, TDCi they all have flat fronts if they dont have air con and sticky out fronts if they do.
