@biketeacherdave

Hi, looking good and at least u know it’s been done properly

Funny enough when mine was all apart I had the water pump replaced at the same time

Good luck with the rear belt, takes about just under an hour

Have the egrs been blanked yet , also check ur MAP sensor as it may be dirty

Happy motoring and nice to see the D3 group slowly growing in numbers , I think there’s about 10 x of us now

Rain was to bad today so rear belt on Monday water pump is fine and auxiliary belt driven so easy to replace if needed egrs not blanked....yet one thing at a time :D

You make the tea stuart i will polish your car for you mate

Now that Sounds like a bargain, I’ll even buy the biscuits and cake :):)

alas mine is the same as ur first pic with the swirl patterns and hedge marks

Body work is very straight , handles have faded from age , that’s why I was looking at those satin covers, when I first got it there were chrome handles along with mirror covers which I removed

Should be finished with all the work on mine by spring time and onto basic servicing , seeing I’ve spent the last 2 x years ripping the thing apart

Latest thing I done was the D4 steering wheel, still got to get round fitting the new airbag , as I noticed the newer ones are flat , yeh i know need to get out more

Awesome , sounds like a great plan

Happy to also help with the split charge system if u wish

If urs is an auto there’s a few good access points through the bulkhead to run wires
