Hi tiny,

What I mean is that the money you pay less for these engines is recuperated with maintenance, the others, like BMW and Mercedes you pay more but as marksurry says there is no aftercosts to it anymore (not for cambelts anyway).

There was only the L and K series about when I bought Tiny...sob...Happy memories of grey bumpers and 8 valves being the cutting edge of technology...
What about the spitfire? C'mon - we are talkin bout a Freelander. Not the most gracious machine to grace the skies bar Concorde. With regards to the Merlin - I had three of them wheeled up to me on trailers at an airshow while fast asleep on the grass last summer. Never got up so quick in my life - still got a whistling in my ears!!
Hey - we digress (for a change!) I am all for chains over Belts anyhoo...
They don't half dig in yer waist though...:D

I think mings into all that chains and rubber and whips and bondage and Ohhh!

wont be long Back soon!:p
