Howdy Folks,

Just wondering how many New Zealand based folks are lurking in here?

Then to ask where are your chosen suppliers of parts based around the country? Seems to be everyone over here wants to charge the earth for parts that are cheap as chips in the UK!

Have you any contact info or websites for good folks that wont rip us off please??

Also, anyone up in Northland and a member of any 4x4 groups that go playing in the hills and forrests that we have so many of??

Cheers for now

..... can't help sorry , I'm in Sydney, having my own problems sourcing parts!

You are correct tho, seems UK is the best and cheapest at parts, shame alot of sellers don't post overseas tho!

Maybe a kind pommie cousin will be able to forward parts that we cant get here? (hint hint)

G Day Dave,

I am with LROCA. Up till now I have sourced my parts from Land Rover Spares Ltd in Auckland. Being a club member I get a 10% discount. The owner of the business has just joined the club so we are hoping for some benefits!. I suppose with the present exchange rate, now would be a good time to give strong consideration to purchasing a few of the more costly LR spares that one is most likely to need. Could be a good time for me check out a few sites and compare landed prices. Thing is though postage would have to by sea. Flying them would probably kill any savings. Thanks for the prompt.

I thought there would be heaps more in Aussie? But there you go. Maybe we could all club togther and get a 20 foot container of bits. I have been looking into this for my Escorts and could combine the two?

I will have to look into the LROC side of things, already in with the RSOC and soon to be TVROC over here, so why not! I was looking at the Land Rover Spares Ltd and also Main Land Rover sites today actually, they appear not that bad on prices. Would be even better with discount of course.

I was looking at the cheap deals on UK Ebay for towbars earlier this week and also the vehicle specific wiring kits. They are a fraction fo the cost over here. But the postage was going to tip it over the balance. I did however get a quote of 123 pounds from Parcel 2 Go, who I used to use a fair bit in the UK. Worth a look for more expensive parts??

Just need to do an anti-kiwi thing I reckon? That is all talk to each other and get something actually sorted rather than just paying through the nose!

I think we may need to meet up and talk?

Cheers

Dave...
