:doh::doh::doh::doh: and you didnt think to mention this in your orginal post:confused::confused::confused:

lol apologies and i am a noob and was told by the auto electricains that it was not an auxillary issue but to do with the main circuit on motor hence why it was not mentioned!

Still have another issue though as the monitors don't work - ohh well at least without a battery drain i can take it to an audio specialist to sort before it gets exported overseas!

yea play fair next time, OK I know you're embarrassed  about the pimp and all :D but if you got to pimp it up then go all the way and do it right like you did..... its way over the top but because of that I kinda admire the way you went about it, well done

lol cheers Dopes and i suppose credit goes to Speedculture the people who designed this car and i bought it is an investment as this is being exported once fixed to a rich arab sheikh! :D

There's a lot of difference between a 17Amp and a 0.6Amp drain on the system - Does your mechanic know what he is talking about?

He says after disconnecting the main feed to the ice install the battery drain is 0.6amps but with the main feed to ice connected the drain is 17amps!

It didnt come across as that - but 0.6A is still to high - have you looked at the thread in the FAQ section regarding current drain figures?

lol yep apologies for that, in the height of excitement at having this fixed i did not clarify the post!

Where can i find the current drain figures?

Shame the drain wasn't a bit higher, it would have burnt. Best tsolution looking at it IMO.

Hi everybody,
As per my previous postings my p38 to is suffering battery drain problems,
i am living in a very rural area in France so do you think that the r/f moule could be the culprit (ie no ariels close by) As i only have a voltmeter, is this sufficient to monitor the battery condition? or do i need some other equipment, I see on the internet there is a device available to plug in! to the fuse panel,is this a possibility?
Some general advice on how to actually moitor the battery drain would be very much appreciated
Brian

Does your meter read amps, or more precisely milliamps? If so you could do some tests yourself.

:D

The RF receiver can indeed cause battery drain even without RF interferance. Headlamp wipers not parking, faulty SatNav and duff fuse box are other possible causes. The list is endless:eek:

Personal opinion and all,.... Wrong so wrong ,,, millions spent on R & D and a car now looks fookin awful inside , so, so overboard ... I can't comprehend it ... No wonder you have electrical problems all that ****e installed.. what the hell was you thinking ... You should get the person that installed it all to work out your battery drain issues ... As they caused it .....Just my opinion.. :S

Everybody is entitled to there opinion and i don't knock anyone's opinion and each to there own i suppose. I stress i did not kit this rangie like this the previous owner did and i bought this as an investment and once it is all fixed up it is being shipped to the middle east to an Arab lol :D

If your gona change the RF receiver DON'T get it from ebay, get it from a reputable dealer, and honestly even if your a numpty it will take no more than 15 mins to change yourself, we will help you out if you get stuck, but you'll be OK DIY ing it trust me I'm a struck off doctor

Its under a shelf at the back of the car, just 2 connectors that you swap over from the old one to the new one

Im in Heathrow, if you pass pop in, you live near to my sister in law, but i dont plan on seeing her though!!1

Is he a skint arab? I'd of thought someone who owns 2 billion barrels of crude would be buying a 2012 Overfinch or Sport to pimp up, not a 15 year old RR?
