Think it's time for the for the old girl to head for the scrap yard the clutch went bang today, the clutch hav been very stiff for a long time and the flywheel has been knocking like a bag of lump hammeres :mad:
I have spent all day trying to get prices and the best I can get is around €950 for the flywheel and clutch kit, I just don't think a 1997 2.5dt is worth spending that amount of money on when I can buy a 2001 dse for around €1250 there not worth a lo over here because of the high road tax
 
I do off road it at least once a month so it could make a good doner if I got another p38 and damage that one, was looking at one with a cracked cylinder head going really cheep that I could change the engine around, just don't know what way to go yet
 
Freemonkey, i've just seen a DMF for cca 500 GBP on the bay-of-e. I'm in no way affiliated, just pass on what i see. Search for "Dual Mass Flywheel (OEM Quality) - Range Rover 2.5 Diesel".
 
Well, i take that back. Quick fingers, sorry :)

Apparently you can get the whole package from LUK (DMF, clutch, bearing) for circa 660 GBP.
 
Cheers for looking out lad but I have just bought a 1998 dhse for €400 so I can use my old p38 for all the parts I need make 1good one out of 2 bad
