To early, it was the 1996 model year D1 auto that that EDC engine upgrade, which was in the LR dealers show rooms in miid 1995.
EDC equipped engines came with cruise control as standard, as the LR salesman was quick to point out back then.

My first D1 auto, which I really regret selling, was registered 8th Feb 1995 ( and is still around too ), and was EDC but did not have cruise control ... IME EDC was introduced in "fits and starts", and there doesn't seem to be a definitive date .... it is either EDC or it isn't
