A second opinion is always a good one since these seem to be fussy motors lol i just dived in with my last one and was lucky to a degree not a chance to take again

Btd is a good chap.. i wouldn't leave it too long with him though, he'll end up fixing the seat heaters and changing the valley gasket (he likes doing those)
 
There is a v reg 2.5dse up the road from me in hest bank for sale I noticed today I've no details on it but it looked fairly clean. I can have a butchers for you if it's of interest? It's green though which you don't seem a fan of!

and the fuse box, the brakes the rear air springs the O rings the wind screen the seat switches o the list of jobs iv done go on and on

seem to be near the end of it now tho after doing my head gaskets the head liner is next then the cruise control and im going to have 1 last go at the hevac book symbol strange it all seems to work but think i have a sticky flap :rolleyes:

Get a book called Range Rover: The Second Generation by James Taylor.....it'll tell you everything you need to know....

The letter designations meant something in the first few years of P38 marketing, but in the latter part of their life, when BMW took over, the letters meant little apart from a 'base' to work from, you could then spec your vehicle from there by adding or removing options and trim as you wished....

Jaguar seemed to go the same way. Unless you go for the top model it is pure chance as to what you get. WHY?!

There are lots of things on new cars I'd like to be optional, like sunroofs, HDC, TC, ABS, CAN BUS systems, Navigation, parking sensors, rear view cameras and so on.

Not to stick a spanner in the works...but I have auto dimmming rear view and memory mirrors in my 4.0 HSE. Mudflaps too!

I have auto dimming mirrors but not memory on my DHSE & mudflaps, but they all have those do they not.
 
Not a according to the list above but then it is 97 based. Guess things changed with the facelifts.

I had a new RR every year during the 90's, and fancied a Diesel - I did 25K miles per year, so it would have saved some £.

When I forced the issue with an LR rep, he told me that the air flow to the auto cooler would be interrupted by the front fog lamps - hence no front fog lamps.

I had another V8.

Yeah its from a 97 brochure, at the time no 4.0 HSE was offered. Only engine choice for the HSE was the 4.6

Can you not just get updated disks, thats what i did with mine, works better than the newer system in the '09 Touareg i had before.
