Hi guys,
I’m looking at buying a 2010 TDV8, are there any hazards to look out for?
I know many of the pitfalls of the td6 but nothing of the later cars,
Not to worried about the little stuff but how are the engine and gearbox for reliability and failure?
I’ve heard turbos can be weak but how do I tell if they’re on the way out?

It's a JLR product,everything goes wrong.

Regular oil and filter change, and cleaning of inlet pipes, intercooler etc, and turbos can live a long life !

I think I heard the oil pump loosing it a bit does the turbo`s in, and peeps replace turbo`s with out sorting the pump issue, I seam to remember a guy this year had turbo go and garage fitted new and promptly knackered the new ones before he had the car back, was an expensive lesson.

Believe the oil feed pipes to the turbos are a problem
