Anything that requires taking the body off! Id honestly buy a Hawkeye now and use it after a test drive to look at faults. It will save you in the long run as a D3 lemon will punish you big time!

Do you know if the GAP 11D tool thing that goes in the OBD port is transferable between vehicles? Would be good to have that and plug it in for live data and fault code reading while test driving the shlt out of it.

in the next few weeks, I have read the guide anything i should be aware off?

I think I would see if a LZ forum member could come with you for a second opinion.

I would join the Disco3.co.uk foum and get reading, every day there are several posts and you soon get a feel for their foibles.

Yes its transferable, just need to contact GAP and pay I think 25 quid, I think its 60 quid to add another vin to your exisiting vin.

Even though its locked to one vin you can still use it to read all the codes and see live data on other land rovers, have used it a few times on mates range rover.
I am led to believe it also does the same on Jag cars.
