Mŷ understanding about the 7 seater is that it was designed to be used with the air bags in the rear, set up for the potential extra load. Many people seem to forget, or ignore this and replace the rear air bags with springs. This is NOT what the design is about and consequently it can fall foul of insurance companies, ie, not safe. I've seen quite a few people flogging them on eBay and announcing the fact that they have swapped out the rear airbags, almost as a good sales point! Do check, a 7 seater should have the rear air bags intact.

I think this is correct. Someone will be along shortly if I a wrong.

some seven seaters were made with springs as well i think??

Okey dude :)

Hey saying that... My 300 has 7 seats still but with the jack up kit it has no airbags? Is this illegal? Lol I never knew about that when I done it lol.

I think the 300Tdi was pre air bag and was designed for springs from the outset.

Well I got one... 54 plate on 144k paid 5.2k...

Is it normal for the gear stick to bounce around? It's not loose but when driving it seems to bounce up and down? Lol

I never noticed it on the test drive haha

no it is not.oops.

New gearbox needed already?! And so it begins.....

I think the box is fine, the gears are smooth but when going along the mororway, the stick seems to bounce... Not a lot but compared to my 300 which is solid, but then again that has all updated bushes and mounts to Make it solid as possible so I wasn't sure if this is normal?

At the weekend I will have to get under it and check the mounts I think...
