Does anyone know where I can get a bush kit from. Island only do a Britpart kit or Poly bushes. After searching here the consensus seems to be against poly bushes hence the request.

I'm confuzzled. Why the bias against poly? I've used them on other motors before and they're a great improvement, why the difference with LR?
Isn't that one of the advantages of poly bushes is that they can be easier to install as they dont need to be squeezed through a mount like the rubber ones.Island also do genuine Land rover but i doubt you would be daft enough to pay genuine prices. Getting bushes is one thing fitting them unless you are tooled up for it is quite another.

No, they still take some doing.Isn't that one of the advantages of poly bushes is that they can be easier to install as they dont need to be squeezed through a mount like the rubber ones.

@tomcat59alan used jubilee clips squeeze them in - were poly iirc?
I have had mine in for 30 years (poly Bush) and still working perfectly, I would be looking at
Replacing them all if they had been rubber,
As I’m having to change all the rubber seals around the windows because they have dried out and cracked,
If poly bush done window seals I would fit them in a flash,
Yes and to be fair I have spent my life in the motor trade replacing bushes and decided I didn’t want that on my motor, funnily enough I came across the original receipt for them the other day, £149.23 for the full set,
I totally agree that the original bushes are softer and would give you slightly more axel articulation but my Disco
Didn’t come with anti roll bars ether so tended to wallow a bit even when new, so new bushes and roll bar kits front and back transformed her on road handling,
It was a very early first production model and that’s how it came from Solihull ,
At the time I wasn’t fussed just pleased to have her, I have never been into off roading
( wash my mouth out with soap) and for her first Fifteen years she was a road working vehicle,
Once I have sorted out her floors and sill will put her back on the road for the new year,
I see in your avatar you have aPL4, did you Build her? I completed my Europa 11 years ago,
Putting my Discovery back on the road is my retirement project to keep me out in the workshop away

Some on here don't think so. First job was to make all the forming blocks. Moulds for the cowls wing tips etc were made later as was the form for moulding the canopy. Then made all the parts treated them and built jigs for the fuze and wings. Quite a long process but enjoyable.Well I take my hat off to you, doing a plan built aircraft is a magnificent achievement,
