Hi all

Just wonderring should there be a gap on these at the rear? DSC05712.JPG

what are they called?

They look like body mounts to me, n I don't think there should be a gap that's prob why it's a bumpy ride!!

Are they not your boot floor supports? i cant really id them as too close, somebody will be along soon who has had to do a boot floor and will id them straight away i reckon

boot floor supports, between chassis and boot floor, mine have a teeny tiny gap between em too (maybe not even a piece of papers width) and I dont have a bumpy ride.

nope...

gotta remove boot floor and quite a large number of spot welds..

do your best not to worry bout it til boot floor rusts away making access much easier..

it wont be affecting the ride, must be summat else,

it comes back up ok, should I take them off and check?

It's not just the shocks there are springs as well...

and the A-frame ball joint...;)

also if it's a later vehicle it could be your self-leveling air-suspension.

think what it is , that these pads are flexing , and the boot floor is bowing , making the back end very soft indeed.:screaming_bug_eye_f
