Hi,

move a few jobs I’ve to do today on my P38 and I need to take the front bumper off.

I’ve got the two star bolts moving and I know I’ve to undo the clip at either side of the bumper but they’re so rusty I’ve no idea how they are supposed to ‘release’.

do they push together or pull away from one another ?

thanks again !

Bob

I just can't get my head around this...

The metal spring bits don't appear to be attached to anything. I Cant access the nut behind to unbolt (I don't think) what am I missing ?
Rave is of no help !

Ok, I see the problem, my clips are upside down and appear to be doing bugger all...

maybe I just need to ‘persuade’ the bumper a bit

Those chassis legs are pretty rusty. Been used in the sea?

Everything is pretty rusty -well, it has a nice ‘patina’ of surface rust.
Wonder whether I should brush them and give them a wee coat of stonechip while I have the access.

Don’t imagine it would do any harm, would it ?
