Anyone know are there any benefits in leaving bumper skirt on my disco ? MPG or wind noise ?. It looks pretty crap at 15 years old and a liability off road.
Thanks

Only thing I noticed is it stops some of the spray back when you hoon through puddles. Best off getting rid:)

It's a really quick job, I used it as an excuse to get the angle grinder out, but a wood saw and a tug will get rid of it.

Ok Don't want to labour on it.But are there any negatives points , at the moment get excellent MPG 34.Think that might be effected by removing skirt or whatever one calls it. Must of been put there for reason , if its only styling well off it comes.

It's called a Spoiler IIRC, it's some where to put your foglights and helps stop the the forward air lifting the front and so making steering unstable at speeds of 100mph +. :D:D

But there is a difference in handling of a vehicle at speed between with and without a spoiler so I have found in the past.:)

Have a look here is this what your on about?

And a Disco is aero dynamic as a brick, I don't think its going to add any MPG on.

It does look a lot better off but at least get the spelling of friend right or is that write? Lol. I wont mention the apostrophe!!

Its off now and stored away in barn loft . Undone the 6 or so 13mm nuts. Looks a lot better I believe .Thanks all for advice.

Oops, it's OK I can't spell:) it's fixed now so you can relax. Not taking the ! out though!
Lol. No worries mate. I must admit I have been looking at where to cut the corner sections to get the best line. It seems like a plan before I get a better bumper anyway.
