Good work mate. Is there a medical term for your 'light fetish'? Reason I ask is that I think it may be contagious

Speaking of lights, does anyone have any access to a Toyota Hilux - around the 3003 model, as reckon their headlights could be made to fit, as I am sick of having to feed the goldfish in my headlights...so have now been looking at something like this...

which is from this model....

But not sure if they are flat fronted or slope up from the bottom and also if they are too curved?

Well, got the lights finished this weekend, as I needed to extend the bumper under the lights so they didn't just look like they were 'stuck on' and not meant to be there.

Started by making up some bottom bumper brackets..

then welded them onto the bumper...

then added some seal sealer...

A lot better in my opinion :D

Then onto some light guards.

Started by bending into the shape I needed...

then welded onto some of the metal I had left over from the bumper...

and then a trial fit...

a few coats of hammerite...

and then fitted up using rivnuts into the bumper....

not sticking out too much and you can see the new under protection...

and jobs done...

Not bad for £35.00 for the lights and £5.00 for the steel, oh and a few weekends fabricating them on

The wiring only took a few minutes as i can do that in my sleep....just a relay for the driving lamps and the fog light wiring was already there from the original bumper ;)

Even better, I have just sold the dash switch that came in the kit for £25.00 so costs now down to £15.00 :D

Well as I have a rare day off next week from Daddy Day care decided to spend before it is earned o a set for my D1. Think I will need to get a set of clear indicators as cant afford to go facelift lights unless lottery numbers come up!!!
