Hi Everyone,
Im new to the site so I hope you dont mind me answering your question. Believe it or believe it not, use a hairdryer. Heat up the plastics gently, and the original colour will come back, nice even strokes mind. Once they have recovered their original colour, use some cheap new engine oil and wipe over the bumpers. They will retain their colour for months:)

Autoglym Bumper care works a treat, lasts for a month or so. I had the same problem with mine now regularly use it, takes years off it!

I used some very cheap stuff from Wilkinson's own line of car car products which had been sitting at the back of the cupboard for the last 10 years, and when that ran out I used silicone spray (which WD40 and Mr. Sheen contain?), a nail brush for the large areas and a toothbrush to get in the difficult bits.

You're basically scrubbing off the oxidised layer of plastic (it's very thin, so not a lot of effort's invoved). If you just spray stuff on, you're just coating the plastic rust, so it'll look good to start with, but after a bit of rain or a wash it'll be back to crap and you'll need more back to black.

I'm a bit too bald to own a hairdryer :D

PS, don't put the toothbrush back in the bathroom afterwards ;)

I had the same problem with the grile on my P38.

Tried back to black, peanut butter (both smooth & crunchy) and even boot polish.

Best thing I found was Plasti-cote paint. It's cheap enough from motor factors and doesn't even need a primer. I got the dark grey but it comes in a range of colours

I just removed the previous attempts (boot polish etc.) rubbed it with 1200 wet & dry for a key and put 2 coats on - top job. Sticks like **** to a blanket and looks factory :):):)
