hi, been under the old git & noticed the rear bumpstops are missing ! are they an mot failure ? if not i will remove the rusty base plates that remain and do away with a bit more metal cancer !
cheers for reading

They have probably just dropped off. Mine were very crusty, they easily fell off. The bump stop plate was ****ed but luckily the chassis and brackets were rather sound, so after the **** was cut away I was left with a good chassis to bolt new stops to.

Remarkable really!

Mine passed with no Bumpstops, I believe if you have one you have to have the other but both missing is not an MOT failure.

Well thats what they told me!

Mine went through a MOT recently with only one on the rear. So there you go the randomness of the MOT test

Tried for an hour to undo the bolts to remove the plate. Gave up ground them off an then realised that the new ones bolted on easily and I needn't have fussed.

Suppose it depends wether or not you've a bloody minded tester but I've not had any on back of my p38 for last four years and got through ok advised or failed on everything else though
