I have a P38 It has a foam bulbar on it as far a I know it was they from new so been on for almost 15years.

Its showing its age and looking a bit scruffy and needs tidying up the worst bits are the both side bit they look they can come off but can you get replacements as I have look but have not found nothing

any ideas if I can get replacements or if I can use something to make them better looking

thanks

"use something to make them better looking"

A spanner to take them off ;)

Personally I hate the damn things, but each to their own.

Nudge bar STC8500AA and frame STC8501AA are no longer available from Land rover.

One of the first things that I did was to take the bulbous lump of cheap black plastic that was bolted onto the front of mine

and converted it from a tractor to a limousine

at least in my eyes

I thnk Bull bar is not the correct description of them .Pedestrian protection bar is a more apt description because if i was a pedestrian Id rather be hit by the bull bar than the front end of a range rover It much softer and will collapse easier.
The reason I have one is to frighten other drivers ( it dont work in eastern counties as lada drivers in Mongolia will take on trucks busses and army tanks )

All bull bars fitted to vehicles in the UK made in or after 2007 have to be plastic for pedestrian protection. So basically they are as useful as tits on a Mars bar. It is illegal to fit a metal bull bar to any vehicle made after that time. It is even illegal to manufacture them. Vehicles fitted with metal bull bars made before that time are not affected.

They are actually known as Frontal protection Systems...to give them their legal name in the UK

Yeah but being plastic they don't protect a lot. Run into anything larger than a Sparrow and they will suffer. :D:D
