Hi im looking at getting a bar for my freelnder1 havin been looking on fleebay their either fairly pricey or miles away and no posting, does any 1 know the dimmensions that are relevant for 1 and if any fit from other vehicles eg rav 4 grand vitara as they all look pretty similar form pics?
 
Hi - to answer your questions:

Firstly - nothing else will fit - dimensions are quite unique.

Secondly - the Facelift FL is different from the original - the mountings need to fix to the front bumper as well as on the chassis rails. They could be modified as its only the small upper mountings which would need bending a bit.

Lastly - I have one in the garage in pretty good nick which came off my 2002 FL.

As you can see I live over the fields, through the forests, and far away from you. Could be posted or couriered - might be pricey - haven't a clue how much.

Hi cheers, im pre facelift so guess it wont anyways, and the post prob a fair wack aswell, you should pop it on fleebay ull get a good drink in expect, cheers anyways..

Is it the six point fixed one for the winch plate?

Ive been looking, emailing and begging the powers that be for one. cant find one anywhere!!!!

You could modify a 4 pointer and re-coat though. :confused:

Your FL is pre-facelift -yes?

The bar I have in the garage came off my pre-facelift 2002 model.

Is this not the one you're looking for?
 
Will get it out of the garage and try to take some pics tomorrow hopefully if the weather clears up a bit.

Shall I make you Southern Britons even more jealous? :rolleyes:

Not only have I fitted the winter tyres, but I've drained and changed the antifreeze, and put the tow-rope, the jump-leads, the folding shovel, and the SNOW CHAINS (for all four wheels) in the back. :D

I love the snow - I'm even going to visit friends in Austria for a holiday, soon. :cool:
 
Someone sent me a PM about the bar I have for sale - but it came through all garbled with funny symbol letters etc. :confused:
