Good Morning one and all,

I am in the planning stage of a rebuild so I am getting costs together etc. I am looking at Bulkheads??

I have a 1986 90 and I may need to change the bulkhead during the rebuild....

So my question is what is the difference between early 90 bulkheads and the later ones.
I may be able to refurbish mine it seems in a reasonable condition so this is just research in case a good later 90 bulkhead comes up.

Is there a document or book that explains the differences, any adaptions to make different models fit etc.

Thanking you all in advance....

300tdi bulkeads are different to 200tdi and 19J bulkheads, due to the different gearboxes (R380 vs LT77) and the tunnels that sit over them. I believe that td5 bulkheads can be fitted to 300tdi with a couple of mods. TDCi bulkheads have been fitted to 300tdi etc, but requires more work.

If I were you, repair your one

Depends on what was the original engine.
Mine 110 v8 1985.
Wide tunnel so I can swap to a 300tdi. Using floor pans tunnel/ seat box.

You can buy every panel to rebuild your bulkhead but will take time & make sure it does not twist.

There are small changes to 200/300 bulkheads like top vents but rest of it you should be able to swap. You will need to use your old loom

I have an 85 90 on a C reg.
If not completely rotten then new panels and weld away.
