hi

is it easy to repair a bulkhead for a series 3 ???? total refurb.

best place to find 1?????

Trickiest bit is the part around the vents but I dont know if you can replacement parts for that bit to be welded on. The rest isnt too bad

hi

my pockets are not deep at all, but its the learning part of the job I like. you can buy anything but doing it is very different, I like the challenge.

plenty of good resto threads on here which show bulkhead work, this is a good one, the chap fabricated his own repair patches and welded them in. quite a long thread but plenty of good bulkhead bits if you sift thru

cost in terms of material was a few quids worth of metal.

Cheers great next job finding a bulkhead. Are allowed or most bulkhead the same from back in the day to the present????

Stick to the same series of your present one to avoid problems but they are interchangeable.

Piece that holds the gearbox shroud to bulkhead face was welded on my original the one I rebuilt had a bolt on piece. Other than that never found any other issue.
Rebuilt one was a later ex military version. Both where series 3
