Where do I start..................

Last year I brought a late 60's bulkhead (for next to nothing) with the intention on restoration. I now have it back to good metal and that is where the problems start!

I have no footwells, no A posts no centre plate at the bottom and with the repair sections tried in place there is approximatly 1" between the end of the sections and the start of what is left of the bulkhead :)

I have reached the decision that it isn't worth going any further. Has anyone managed to recover a bulkhead in such a state? The only piece that is untouched by corrosion is the dash :-(

PS. I don't suppose anyone near Lincoln has one going spare in a better state?

hi, watch this space, my next job is the bulkhead on my series 2 , 88" after the engine is rebuilt, sounds to be in the same state as yours , but im going to gas weld it all up and hope for the best with some plate and the repair patches !

Couple of images.

got yer work cut out there mate, if yer can get a mashed up bulkhead with good door posts etc, yer might be in luck , mines not quite as bad, thats why am thinking its worth doing, then again if yer want a good one for life , get a new galvanised one .
