What Models of Land Rover have the same bulkhead as an 88 inch Series 3 and can be fitted without much alteration please.

88 or 109 Series 3 only, as far as I know.

2a's fit but have a different dashboard layout and different windscreen hinges
90/110 fit but the footwells and transmission tunnel is different.

Judging by your other posts on galv chassis and stainless fittings, you may be interested in these people for bulkheads?
Ashtree landrover

Yeah wholeheartedly recommend Ashtree - not cheap, but excellent product (speak to Lyndon Swan) - Top Bloke!!!!

I can highly reccomend Ashtree, sit down when you first hear the price, but well, well worth it. Good workmanship isn't cheap. To put it simply..you get what you pay for. Somethings are not worth skimping on..

Mine was delivered in person... included VAT and he will give you around £75 for your old bulkhead if salvageable

Some welds are visible..but they are strong and clean welds. I considered filling over some of mine..but to be honest, I kind of like them. Show that the bulkhead is solid (which it most definately is..) and good for a fair few more years..

I'm sure if you discussed your requirements with him (Lyndon) he would talk to you about the finish and quality that he can produce. But honestly, the welds, where visible, are top quality. Not being funny..but it's an old vehicle...you can have a top job..and it still won't be perfect...embrace the fact that your restoring..not simply building from new. At the start of my rebuild, I hated the idea of imperfections, but now..I really like them. They don't affect the overall look..at all, and just add to the character.

You can have a vehicle that looks perfect..but clearly isn't (i.e. more time and money spent on filler work), or have a Land Rover that is solid and built to last that still looks fantastic..take your pick. Being truthful..unless you have unlimited time and money..you can't have both.

Completely agree with Matt...

If you look really closely on mine you can just make out where some welding has been done, but all up in hard to see areas behind the dash. visible areas of my bulkhead are perfect. I also like the provenance of knowing that an original bulkhead has been restored rather than some cheap and dare I say inferior imported new fabrication being used from India or China.

I am so pleased with mine that I don't even intend to paint it... I quite like the vertical stripe of galvanised against the Dark green - I've added some pictures below

Cheers
