Hi guys

I was fitting an additional earth cable from chassis to bulkhead today and noticed one of my bulkhead to chassis bolts looked loose ( nut and bolt tight but a gap between bulkhead bracket and washer washer spins ) eventually removed nut and bolt but the bolt was rotted as a pear and suprised it didn't snap.

can anyone tell me do bulkhead to chassis bolts allow for fitting rock slider's or do i need longer bolts, i know the P.O. had rock slider's fitted before i bought it and assume either they have not been tightend up properly or needed shorter bolts after removing the rock slider's.

my plan is to fit rock slider's :)

My rock sliders fitted on the standard bolts, if that's any good to you. Has 6mm of bolt protruding through nut.

And fwiw my rocksliders from shire fabrications ( which are cheap for a reason) dont fit on stock bolts and nee long bolts and spacers to fit propper.....

You are supposed to replace them with longer ones when you fit rock sliders. They are just standard M12 bolts.

If you have rock sliders, 200mm ones, without rocksliders, standard ones are 160mm.

Mine fit on standard including tank guard on the drivers side. Gonna replace them with longer ones at some point because I now have the roll cage Base bolted through them as well.

You hardly need an extra 40mm to fit them the mounting plate on mine is only 6mm thick .

6mm plate yes.

How ever mines have 25mm of spacers between outrigger and the plate......to fit right.

YRM do stainless kits. Or Westfield Fasteners do A4 (stronger stainless) 200mm M12 bolts for only £3.90.
