Bit of a necro.

But finally finally its almost done!!

All the switches, sockets and covers have all arrived. Its currently being anodized.

However one issue arose, I had no way to make the bend in the top and a metal bender would have cost £50.

So I had Raptor themselves finish it totally from my design.

At a cost of £35.00 inc shipping & anodizing black.

I'm just in the process of doing the same, hoping to have it finished next week. Looking forward to seeing your finished product n

Not too bad main thing was just drawing up the design in Illustrator. Geting the measurments bang on so everything would fit. Along with it looking 'good' ie lining up corners, edges, making sure all the switches where exactly the same distance apart etc..

Have you tried to fit a radio in it yet?? looking at your drawing. I'm thinking it may well hit the back of the dash before it goes all the way into the housing.

All measured up 99% sure it will fit, hasnt actually arrived yet, hence the 99% if not then it can stick out a tad.

Also Raptor do a unit wich is CB lower and Headunit above.

I had a raptor in the 90 and to be honest the gear lever is to close to it in 1st & 3rd. I think you'll be whacking the unit all the time. Mine had the Cd player on the top pointing down.

Wooooo it arrived!!!

Really happy with it. Except the fecking diamensions in the back of the CB radio manual where not exactly correct so my CB hole is now way too big :(

Though to solve this going to use some high impact ABS plastic to make a shelf which will hold the CB in place as well as blank off the hole. Should look alright too.

Got an engineer friend making up a nice neat loom for it all. Got to get all the laser engraving done too :D
