Ive wanted a roll cage for a while now as the disco has fallen over twice while we've be at play days
luckily no real damage but I'm sure its only a matter of time before it goes over again and i won't be so lucky,
soo anyway I asked a mate owns a metal fabrication/cnc company, If he'd be up for letting me and Ian loose with a bender
so we started off with 4x 5m lengths of 38.1 cds did a few measurements and it was clear we would need more so decided to do the front half first and order some more tube for this week so I can try and finish it off as I'm at Slab common this coming sunday,
anyway onto the pics
Ian and the bender
then this morning I've cleaned sanded etch primed and final painted it in 2k black
Obviously I still need to make up the cage from the doors back but that will be all straight bar to link the centre hoop to the rear so can do this at home and I bent all the off cuts just incase I need any bends so can just chop/sleeve and weld it up without hassling my mate anymore than I need to
So a huge thanks to Ian(green hornet) for all his work
and not that he comes on here but thanks also to Graham of Wilabb
