Looking to buy some bucket seats (Corbeau style), ideally leather with heated option. But a key feature for me is that the base is to be removable. Only ones i can find are from Exmoor trim, but i know i've seen another type in someones landy before!

Any knowledge on who does such seats?

Alternatively, is there a quick release system if i buy a seat without a removable base so that i can quickly (no tools) lift out the seat if i need to get to the battery box?

I have a cheap set in my defender - not heated but easy removed and really comfy. Pleased with them and they were only £300 ish

Any particular reason?

As in how often do you need to check the ECU (if ya got one) and the battery? As for jump starting easily worked around with Andersons!

Is useful if you go to a lot of club meets, the one I belong to, check battery security during scutineering.

Cheers

My RX8 seats are heated and I can remove the base. Quite bucket like and leather too. Even better is that they're only 100 quid a pair!

I'll be putting on an Anderson connector and hopefully that will reduce a lot of the need for access, but as others have said, during events etc I need access on a more regular basis than for normal driving.

RX8 seats could be a good shout - were they easy enough to fit to the defender? Does the whole base come out, or just the centre section (similar to bucket seats)?

Cheers

I've done a detailed thread on fitting them. The joy of these seats is that they line up perfectly on the existing bracket holes. You just jave to grind off the existing mazda fittings before you do this.
