Hi Guy's,I've not been on this site for about 3 or 4 years,my freelander 1 finally ground to a terminal halt last year, everything that could of gone wrong, didSo i came upon a lovely Disco 2 and although outwith my budget i bought it.It's a 2003 model Td5 and had about 70 odd thousand miles on the clock. When i test drove the car i found the ignition to be sticky, sometimes not turning for 10 minutes or so.This ignition switch was replaced but after a short while the key broke in the new switch.Ignition removed and taken to a locksmith to remove broken key. That was unsuccessful and new switch was broken trying to remove the key.I was then fitted with a second hand lock and that has lasted almost a year including a 2,500 mile trip to France and back.I have now within the last two weeks broken another key in the second hand ignition switch. So in one year i will now be on my fourth switch.Apart from the first one none of them were tight or stickyI thought these cars were designed for farmers with big musclesDoes anyone know what i am doing wrong and why does it take 2 weeks for a replacement switch to be sent from the supplier. Thanks for any help you can give team,Regards David
