I had my disco in for its mot test today, it's a 52 plate td5 auto, all is well with it apart from a broken front Spring, I would really like to give it a 2 inch lift and now it needs a new front Spring maybe now is the time to do it, the disco is fitted with ace and rear air bags, could anyone with me an idea of the best method for the lift, I was thinking its a case of new springs for the front and spacers for the rear is that correct, or is it new springs , new shockers for the front and a conversion for the rear from air bags to coil springs, if so what happens to the ace system ?
Cheers any info would be good.

The system I am looking into getting is springs for the front, spacers for the rear, and dampers all round

Well I've started to do the lift today, done the front no bother at all, replaced the front springs with +2" heavy duty springs, new +2" shockers , and new braided brake hoses, what a difference in height, I'm going tackle the rears tomorrow, I'm keeping the air suspension so it's getting new shockers and spacer blocks for the air bags, riser plates for the sensors and new hoses, hopefully it goes aswell as the front.

Our son did his D2 V8 ES with a Terrafirma 2" lift kit, and I found it very 'edgy' to drive after my standard GS V8.

I don't know if anything else needs looking at, but he seems to get on alright with it.

Well mines all done now ; very happy with the difference, might have to find some bigger wheels now to fill the arches
