Gents,
First time Brucey has ever broken down. I'm in Liskeard in Cornwall.
I've got breakdown cover so just waiting for them. Thought I'd while away the time by asking opinions on what might be wrong.
Driving along and lose gear without warning. Once I pull over I can move the stick into any gear without using the clutch and no drive at all. Diff stick engages correctly no problem but still no drive.
Drive shafts are intact and still in place.
Any guesses?

Try moving high low ratio linkage, was there a thump or any sound when you lost drive, half shaft may have gone, or spline stripped, as above try diff lock.

Tried all that. I reckon the splines have sheared on the propshaft. Still not been recovered by the way. Now it's fecking raining.

Weird thing is I can put it I to gear with the engine running without using the clutch.
Feels expensive whatever it is!!

FFS. Why did this have to come up just when I've finished my 3rd can of Stella. Sorry mate,n I'm only 4 miles away but not in a fit state to help.

All fixed

All fixed clutch plate etc. All ripped off. Replaced with a 130 hd version and fork. Nice light clutch now! Where you living to then? I'm Downderry we can go laning up my.mates 42 acres in Hessenford valley.

I'm in Pensilva, but my Landy is off the road at the moment.
I'm working in Downderry next week (Buttlegate).

Has the output sharft on your transfer box given up the ghost, did you notice backlash in the gear change?
