It looks like a classic case of over tightening and lack of lubrication to me.

i thought that  ive had britpart bearings for over a year with no issues at all, not even had the need to adjust them. I do at least 200 miles a week in the car too :)

I once sent back a set of wind deflectors that were of poor quality and didn't fit correctly. Took a while but I did get a refund eventually, though not the return postage.

I have returned dodgy stuff and had a refund. The hardest part is trying to get them to stump up labour charges not just the cost of the part. I tried to claim 4 hours labour to strip and rebuild the job again, they play lights out then.

i dont think warrenty covers labour ,most suppliers dont

Nowt wrong with britpart stuff.

Its just as good, if not better than the cheapo "drivetec" stuff you get for all other makes from motor factors.

It would seem to me a lot of britpart problems on here are not really britparts fault.....more of a Ive read how to do it on the net so Im an expert....and ####ed up the fitting kinda problem :D

I would happily pay more if Britpart upped the quality. My beef is having to do the job again. Try fitting one of their fuel tanks to an 88".

I returned a starter without any problems at all and got a new one even before I removed the old one and brought it back :)

Turned out it wasn't actually the starters fault either but still nice to know there would be no issues if it was the problem.

I've went through a wheel bearing in two weeks but that was just me expecting too much of it and tightened it too much to get rid of even the slightest bit of play. Other bearings have lasted nearly a year with no issues and that's with big negative offset wheels too.

Sure, the quality isn't brilliant but for the price of the parts I think they're grand really and a friend that stocks alot of their stuff has pretty much anything I need on the shelf so don't have to wait for anything either (very handy when a part fails alll of a sudden for no reason lol)

Yes it does, and having worked for an OEM parts manufacturer I know exactly what it can mean.
