I know I know, BritPart is ****Part.

Well the steering guard is **** for sure.

I ordered one (im an ass) and installed it.
Looks great.

However the mounting bracket on the passenger side has a hole for the steering damper to pass through, just big enough.

This means that if I take a hit on the guard and it moves ever so slightly then my steering is fuked!!!!, how stupid is that? Almost as stupid as me for buying it.

I will be ordering someting else as soon as the money tree is in bloom again.

Live and learn...........................

Oh dear, sorry to hear that mate, can you not send it back if its not fit for purpose?

Im in the Bahamas, the freight cost more than the steering guard.

Get the hole cut larger so it doesn't get damaged?

This is mine fitted... not even close to the steering damper.

Mine goes nowhere near either. It goes underneath. Didn't have to remove the damper to fit it.

I haven't ever seen one with a hole for the damper!!!!

Yep,

the Britpart mounts are mounted on the inside of the chassis rails.

silly silly silly.

I will get pics up tomorrow.

Mine was the same but i only fitted it because it was free. i had to take a grinder to mine to get the RTC damper in. Putting the mounts on the inside is yet a another fine example of ****part's common sense and ingenuity. :doh:

just fitted pro trac 1 piece steering guard with recovery eyes to my 90.looks a good strong bit of kit,wasnt too bad to fit ,shall post a pic when batterys charged..
