Good evening all.

So the next job on me landy is springs n shocks all round.
I have heard good things about Britpart springs but before i go spending my money i was wondering who is running them and what are your thoughts?

Any horror stories like broken springs etc?

Also why are 110 front springs have a driver and passenger and not the same?

Cheers Landy-Lee

The Britpart springs are probably ok. But I’d Recommend Flatdog.

Lots of different lengths and springs rates. So you can get exactly what you need.

I got OEM for my D1 through BP - fractionally dearer, and no real problems - just the "paint" is carp

I fitted +2" standard rate & their gas dampers as a kit from Paddocks all round. No problems at all.
Fitted their galv turrets at the same time for not a lot £more. 200Tdi 90 by the way.

I fitted their standard springs and shocks to my D1 with no issues. Got galv turrets and new fittings etc and it still cost very little, hard to believe how little to be honest!

You wouldn’t want heavy duty for off road. Quite the opposite in fact. Heavy duty is for hauling and maybe towing.

Not towing , I tried it and went back to standard after a fortnight before my back was totally ruined. Heavy hauling only unless your back is an RSJ ;)

I’ve got a pair of heavy duty +2” Discovery 2 rear springs on the front of my 90, sits a lot taller than standard which is what I wanted, the finish on the springs is a lot better than the stuff terrafimma use.

I agree completely - there is probably nothing wrong with TF stuff in general, but the "paint" finish, and its longevity is truly awful IMO

lol, does it flex like a plank of wood?

It is a bit stiff, which I’ll need to look into, probably need some custom made springs as I think it’s appropriate 5” taller than standard, I tried the D2 springs as I already had them and there perfect length but not much flex

I have the terriferma shocks and springs on my 110, the ride Is lovely but as mentioned the paint doesn’t hold up great
