Just thought i would ask before i order some parts i can get a hub bearing replacement kit from paddocks which is britpart for £6.93 plus delivery
And a OEM kit from lrdirect for £16.66 the totals would be as follows
prices for 2 kits including VAT and Postage:

OEM: £45.68
Brit Part: £22.14

you can see my dilemma are Brit part bearings one of the things they make well or are they dodgy?

Cheap for a reason
You'll end up replacing them fairly soon for the dearer ones
+1 - Don't even go there IME.

"Do it nice or do it twice" applies to blue boxed bearings :(

My preference is Timken, but NTN and others are ok too - just not  br*tpart .

Timken for me also.
Not worth a self destruct far from home. If your budget is tight then so be it but be warned.

To be honest, for that price difference I don't even understand why you're asking the question.

because i am a tight git and i have a very large parts list to order which will be woefully expensive! so any were that i can get good VALUE is very much appreciated.
but in this case i think i will go with the OEM so thanks for your thoughts hopefully you have saved me from some headaches!!

If paddocks are offering the "G" suffix part in a blue box you should be OK. Having said that I would be inclined to go for a "name" like Timkin or SKF or whatever regardless of what it says on the box.

thanks for the advice i found a set of Timken bearings on the bay of doom for cheaper than the OEM ones thanks again
