Hi Martyn

I'm currently landroverless at the moment - but very much still in the Bristol area. Although my daily car is a 4x4 (Nissan Xtrail) and copes with most of the off road driving i put it through at work, its not really built for serious laning!
Shame you dont have a landy anymore.
Do you still meet up with anyone in the area at all?
Sounds as like you're an accomplished man in the rough stuff. Maybe I could learn a few things.
My old classic is Manual geared with manual centre locking diff but No axles lockers yet, might fit one to the rear in the future.
Been thinking for a while to join Wessex 4x4 and lend a hand. But I work away a lot and have only really got my classic back on the road. Had to do an engine gearbox etc change - removed 2.4 VM Motoroli and installed 300tdi from 98Disco.

I'll drop you a message :)

To be honest with work I havent done any meetups for a while... havent been around on here much either.

Theres a fair few decent lanes near Bristol, and Salisbury plain is only an hour away

Hi all, I haven’t stumbled across this one before but I’m located in Filton. Anyone who’s seen my thread about my Range Rover will know it’s not in a state to be out in the lanes but if anyone happens to organise some other sort of meet up/ wants a hand with spanners I’m keen if I’m available.

Hi all,

Sorry to bump an old thread. I'm based in Bristol and have a workshop in Bedminster so if anyone could benefit from a dry space to tinker or need to use a ramp, welder, sandblaster, powder coater, tyre machine etc then drop me a message and I'll be happy to help out.

I've not found many green lanes around me so I'd be interested in tagging along on a drive out if one gets arranged.

+1 watching. Also near Bristol (Thornbury) and am a new LR2 owner so would be glad to meet others!
Before anything serious, I need to get the Haldex a full service which seems to involve dropping the prop shaft - something I've never done/ am not confident to do.
Can anyone recommend a local garage and/or offer to help show me how?
