2a 109 losing the pedal a few seconds after pumping her up to pressure.. iv bled the brakes time and time again an changed the master cylinder twice starting to get to me now!!
If your bleed nipple is on the bottom wheel cylinder then bleed the top one 1st by cracking off the link pipe then bleed through nipple on bottom as normal. Some take off the back plate and invert to bleed but I've never had issues bleeding through the link pipe.
Are the shoe springs on the correct position ?
They should be pulling shoe to back plate not shoe to shoe. That's what was wrong with mine once when I rebuilt it. Either that or are they adjusted up tight enough
thanks guys all seems to be well on that front im going for broke and getting new drums shoes n springs all round just having a slight issue with finding 11" front drums cheap enough hopefully this will solve the issue as i found the spring adjustment is at the maximum what are your thoughts on this?
If its at max adjustment and not binding then you got nothing left to adjust into later so something will need changing anyway.
I would measure the drums first though before you change them as it takes a lot to wear a drum out
i replaced all four brakes pads cylinders and springs and adjusters all for £60
the local landrover place gave me some new ends for the copper brake pipes luckily my mate made up some new copper ones the drums will only need cleaning up unless you clout it to hard getting it off
Don't scrimp on the shoes though. Get the good quality ones. I got the ****part ones and with ****part adjusters and they are crap. Already on almost max adjustment so get genuine or atleast a good brand
