Its Brake not break [as in broken]
Only the front "leading" Brake shoe has the pin that engages with the adjuster cam, it is also the place where the return spring hooks on behind the snail cam other end on the backplate.
Rear brake shoe only has the lower spring that goes between both shoes and is just slotted to the slave at the top.

Tottot, Appreciate the quick response and yes my bad on the spelling.. I know better. Yes, a little premature as we just noticed on the other set. You helped confirm my dilemma. Thank you!!

We went through the first ones and reset the same way figuring correct.. It wasn’t until the second we realized the first springs were incorrectly set wrong and seems to match the repair manual. The left rear are good now but need to open the right tomorrow again. They may work but figure not optimized. Looks like the springs are set to pegs vs brace arm hole. If wrong, of course open to correction.
