Hi, noticed this today when I had to brake quickly ( only going 5mph)
The brake pedal felt juddering, like it was jumping up and down,

Not sure what it could be , maybe abs sensor?

its your abs kicking in quite normal, did the road have ice on it

Yeah was icy,

So that's normal? That's ok then . Never had abs before!

Thought abs was on all the timr?

Yes - it is on all the time.

Waiting in the background for exactly the situation that you had - braking on slippery roads.

Without the ABS at least one of your wheels would have locked up and stopped turning - and you would have a 'skid'.

Hoorah for ABS.
